๐ธ A few photos from the recent CITC teacher training workshops that took place at Shree Garma School, bringing together CITC's team of sponsored teachers from across the Solukhumbu region. The 5-day intensive programme incorporated a wide range of subjects including teambuilding, safeguarding, nurturing a growth mindset, promoting active learning, utilising smartboards, assessment, library workshops, and applying hands on learning activities in English, Maths, and Art! ๐๐จ
CITC Trustee/Secretary Sarah Hagen worked closely with the CITCNepal delivery team to design and lead the sessions. Additionally, the highly regarded artist Lynda Roberts lent her expertise to support the art workshops, before moving on to undertake an art project at Shree Kanku School. ๐จโ๏ธ
The event was a valuable opportunity for the teachers to meet face to face to foster their relationships, exchange experiences, and offer mutual support. ๐ค Detailed feedback has been gathered and will be used to shape future training plans to further enhance the professional development of the teachers, leading to improved educational opportunities for the children they teach #teachertraining #teachersponsorship #childcentredlearning #ChangingOutcomes #EducationNepal

Exciting moments captured as we showcase the beautifully completed libraries at the Learning Centre in Shree Lukla and Learning Hubs at Shree Garma and Shree Hunga Schools! ๐๐ A heartfelt shout-out to the exceptional Cathie Bremner Owen for her tireless dedication in overseeing the initiative, travelling between the school sites and lending her expertise to lead the sorting, stickering, and categorisation of the books - an impressive feat in itself!
This is part of a larger Rotary International funded project, aimed at creating versatile and dynamic learning spaces in these schools. Read more in the latest CITC newsletter at www.citcnepal.org/news/ ๐๐ #libraries #communityimpact #rotaryinternational #EducationNepal
